MCP Project 52, week 7 & 8

So, I missed week 6, but keep calm and carry on, right?

Week 7's theme was "open your heart".

What opens your heart more than an amazing sunset? This picture is pretty much straight out of the camera. Not much editing. It was seriously one of the coolest and most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. To make it even better I got to watch it with my family and my good friend and her family from her Dad's house in Laguna Beach. The island you see on the horizon is Catalina Island. This sunset was amazing, and changed so fast, and then it was gone.

Week 8's theme was "the view from here".

I got to go boarding with my Dad on Tuesday at the Canyons, and it was one of the best days of boarding ever. The snow was so perfect, the weather was almost perfect, and my Dad and I had so much fun! We did the same run all day and hardly saw anyone the whole time.

MCP Project 52, week 5-muse

Besides my sweet little boy Jack, my other muse is nature. Especially, when I'm at home, the mountains. I LOVE the mountains. They make me feel grounded, and so little, and I love that about the mountains. I also love that my mountains are beautiful in every season. Even in the winter when it is 5 degrees outside (like it actually was when I took this picture) they are beautiful, and they make me want to pick up my camera and brave the icey bitting wind and take a picture of them.
